A system that stopped today calls for a different first step from a system that still runs but leaves rooms warm or utility use high. For a failure, start with repair and describe when cooling changed, whether air is moving and whether you have seen water, ice, an error or an unfamiliar sound. Keep panels closed and leave electrical or refrigerant work to a qualified technician.
Maintenance is planned care, not a diagnosis for an active failure. The current one-time tune-up is $59; the office confirms the scope and appointment. It can document accessible condition and routine operating checks, but any repair is a separate recommendation. The Comfort Priority Club organizes two seasonal visits and other benefits under its written terms.
The standard repair diagnostic is $160 for up to one hour onsite. There is no additional travel fee anywhere S&S serves. If repair is proposed, ask what finding supports it, what is included and what remains uncertain. If replacement belongs in the conversation, compare the matched equipment, load basis, duct condition, drainage, controls, electrical scope, startup record and written coverage—not only the outdoor model or monthly payment.
Long cooling seasons and high humidity make airflow and moisture control part of the Southwest Louisiana discussion. A larger unit is not automatically a better fit, and an efficiency label does not guarantee a bill. S&S can explain repair, maintenance, installation and ductwork options so the recommendation matches the property and the concern you actually reported.

S&S is a Carrier - Tempstar Elite Dealer and an approved Trane Dealer. Ask which brand and model fit the project. Manufacturer registration controls eligibility for extended parts coverage. S&S submits registration where possible; the customer should retain and check the manufacturer confirmation. The manufacturer’s written eligibility and warranty terms control.
Manufacturer parts coverage and S&S workmanship coverage are separate. A manufacturer parts warranty covers the part only; diagnostic labor, refrigerant, freight and miscellaneous materials are billable unless covered under the S&S labor warranty. Standard S&S coverage is one year on installation workmanship and 90 days on repairs, unless a longer period is stated in writing on the estimate or purchased as an extended labor plan. Covered workmanship corrections include labor during normal business hours. Maintenance requirements, exclusions and other written conditions apply.
