When to call S&S
- Seasonal cooling preparation
- A maintenance record that has gaps
- A dirty filter or visible buildup
- A system working harder than you remember
Understand the cause and the scope
A cooling visit considers coils, condensate drainage, electrical components, refrigerant operation, and airflow as applicable to the equipment. An inspection can uncover a repair need; the maintenance visit itself does not mean every failed part or corrective repair is included. We explain findings and the proposed work.
Make a confident decision
Keep access to the indoor and outdoor equipment clear and let us know about rooms that do not feel right. Save visit records with your warranty information. The Comfort Priority Club includes a cooling visit and a heating visit each membership year, with its own scope and terms.
Make the maintenance visit about the way your system is operating
Before the visit, write down anything that changed: longer operation, a damp-feeling room, an unusual start or stop, drainage concerns, or a filter that loads sooner than expected. Share the last service date if you have it. These details give a seasonal check useful context beyond a calendar reminder.
ENERGY STAR’s maintenance guidance includes controls, drainage, electrical checks, coils, refrigerant operation, and airflow as applicable. Ask which checks apply to your equipment and how findings will be recorded. A documented concern should lead to an explained next step, not disappear inside a generic “tune-up complete” description.

Separate routine care from corrective work
An inspection, a cleaning, and a component repair are different tasks. When maintenance identifies a concern, ask what the seasonal visit includes and what needs a separate approval. For accessible coils or drains, the amount of cleaning and the access needed should be clear in the scope.
After the visit, save the findings and any approved repairs. Ask which items need attention now, which should be watched, and which filter or housekeeping steps remain between professional visits. Comfort Priority Club terms describe its included seasonal visits and benefits; they do not make every material or corrective repair part of the dues.
- Last maintenance date and any unresolved findings
- Equipment and thermostat access
- Current filter type and replacement record
- Service record, repair approvals, and next-care instructions
Your questions, answered
Does a tune-up replace filter care?
No. Check the equipment instructions and inspect filters between visits. The right replacement interval depends on the filter, system use, and household conditions.
How do I arrange a visit?
Start with the scheduling page or call 337-287-2132. We confirm your address, service zone, equipment, and available appointment.
How does S&S stand behind the work?
Our standard written workmanship coverage is one year on installations and 90 days on repairs unless a different written term applies. Maintenance requirements and other conditions apply; equipment warranties are separate.
Failure to maintain your unit according to the manufacturer’s instructions may void coverage under its 5- or 10-year factory parts warranty. Keep your maintenance records. The manufacturer’s written terms determine your coverage.
