Testing identified the failed component
During an August 2025 service call, an office in Moss Bluff reported that its air conditioner was not cooling. The technician found that the compressor’s 60-microfarad run capacitor had failed, measuring only 0.0010 microfarads.
Cooling returned during the service check
After the capacitor was replaced, the compressor restarted. The technician recorded 82°F return air and 65°F supply air during the visit. These were observations on this system at that time, not a promised temperature or lasting result for every repair.
A successful repair did not erase the equipment’s age and condition
The technician also recorded deteriorated areas on the older condenser coil. The capacitor repair restored operation at the visit, but the longer-term replacement concern remained. That distinction matters: fixing the component that stopped the system does not make the rest of the equipment new. Ask which concerns were corrected and which still need a plan.
