Sulphur · Anonymized account from S&S service records.
Adding refrigerant had not resolved the problem
This Sulphur system had repeatedly lost refrigerant after earlier recharge visits. S&S found it nearly empty and traced the loss to an evaporator-coil tube leak that could not be repaired. The service record identified the replacement coil as warranty-covered; that does not mean every charge on a repair is covered by a parts warranty.
The leaking component was replaced
The technician replaced the evaporator coil and filter drier, pressure-tested the system, evacuated it to 350 microns, and set the refrigerant charge for cooling operation. The final service record documented a return to normal operation.
Ask what is causing repeated refrigerant loss
Tell your technician about earlier recharge visits and how long the improvement lasted. A written diagnosis and repair scope should distinguish finding and correcting the leak from adding refrigerant. Warranty eligibility, labor and other materials must be confirmed for the individual system.
This story summarizes one recorded scope. It is not a promise of the same findings, work or outcome at another property. Customer names and street addresses are omitted.
